Oh uh, hello livejournal. No, no, I haven't forgotten about you. Yes, yes, I will try to post more.

I am about to graduate high school and that is what is up.
I will miss everyone and everything but luckily I won't be too terribly far away.

All I do now is play video games (FFX and Suikoden: Tierkreis) and day dream (daymare?) about being an adult and paying taxes.

my hair is too long.

here is some random things:

School has taken over my life.
Specifically, AP Art. D: We have to do these memory books and I HATE MINE because I can't do watercolors and it's basically a giant book of my doodles. Everyone else has these really elaborate pages that have a lot of meaning and they're using all these mediums but
mine is so simple and is just drawings of little memories like picking strawberries and dandelions all in pen, marker, and a little watercolor.
; D ;

PS I kind of like broke (I'm thinking) my little toe because I can't really move it and I'm in tons of pain.
Um I was getting out of the car and I noticed a HUGE BUG outside the door on my window and freaked out and slammed
the door on my own foot.
Now my toe is throbbing and it turns out the bug was dead.

SCHOOL STARTED TODAY ARGGHH.
I still can't accept it, but I actually kind of like my classes.
Here's a short rundown.
We got
Pd. 1: Pre-Cal with Mrs. Galpin. WTH this lady is so nice I feel like it's all a lie. I'm afraid today was just a front and she's going to turn into some horrible lady tomorrow that's how nice she is. I'm hoping to do well in this math class, because it's an academic class, and last year's PreAP Algebra II incident was TOTAL FAIL.
Pd. 2: Digital Graphics and Animation with Mr. Powell. So I'll be honest. Mr. Powell is a really swell guy. He's pretty funny and laid back. HOWEVER. I am so so disappointed. I was taking this class because I really wanted to learn a lot of stuff about Digital Graphics and Animation but Mr. Powell is new to the subject too. So basically he'll be learning right along side us. He even said he was horrible with computers and that if we had questions he'd have to find someone else to answer them. This is really discouraging, because I wanted to learn from someone who could actually teach me a lot of stuff. D: So sad.
Pd. 3: AP Biology with Mr. Clancy. Mr. Clancy is great. This is the only class I don't know anybody in, so I was a little worried. And of course on the first day we have to get in groups to make a poster. But thankfully I met two really nice people and we're working hard on our Plants and Animals poster, even though the only information we can use is whatever we can remember from taking Biology 2 years ago. We're not doing so great. We can remember the basic shapes of the cells, however, and we know there's lots of squiggly shapes inside them. It's a start.
Then I have lunch, where I didn't see people I knew, which was a little scary, but then I found a friend to sit with though I don't know the rest of the people that sit at the table so well.
Pd. 4: AP English Literature with Mrs. Mathews. Oh man this class seems, I dunno, like it's going to be either really fun or I'm totally going to hate it. Mrs. Rachel Mathews is actually an Indian woman and she opened the class by saying "I would describe myself as being a child of God." It was awkward because everyone was thinking, "Can you say that?" She seems a little scatterbrained but I like the people in my class, so it should be alright.
Pd. 5: AP French 5 with Madame Levine. Mme. Levine is the same as ever. I miss the class from last year, but the new French 4 kids seem like pretty good people. At first all the French 5 kids sat together and the French 4 kids sat together but Mme. Levine would have none of that. She tried to mix us up but she ended up just seating almost all of the French 5 kids together anyway until she realized what she was doing.
So now Hilary and I are sitting apart from most of the French 5 kids but that's alright.
Pd. 6: Economics with Mrs Joseph. I already love this class. Not the Economics part, but holy crap Mrs. Joseph is great. She is one sassy woman. She spent the whole period talking about what was wrong with America today and after each thing she pointed out she would say, "Now what's wrong with this picture?" in such a great way she sounded like she should host a talk show. Everyone told me that Mrs. Joseph was crazy and was the worst teacher to have, but so far I'm seeing no signs of this. Time will tell.
Pd. 7: AP Art Portfolio with Mrs. Viola. I miss Mrs. Huffman. She left to go teach at Cinco Ranch and now Mrs. Viola teaches AP Art, and though she's a sweet lady, she's no Mrs. Huffman. The class is all girls, for whatever reason and holy crap when everyone put their works up on the board I felt so INTIMIDATED. ; D ; Everyone is really good and my stuff looks all cartoony and silly next to their artwork. I got so flustered and embarrassed talking about my own artwork but Mrs. Viola told me I just needed to be less timid and more expressive in my work. She's really into work that's really emotional and has more meaning but I cannot help it if I like drawing tropical fish and Kokeshi dolls.
I am no good at self-portraits.

This is entry is so long. D: My bad.
I drew a silly little comic, maybe I'll post it up later, but it's nothing special.

[Current Mood | stressed]

So. Much. To. Do.

Not. Nearly. Enough. Time.

save me!
from art projects! and summer reading!

crap!

So Anyways.
I had this dream the other night that it was the first day of school and I went to art class. And in art class it was my turn to show my five summer art projects and they were all related to Harry Potter. And my art teacher was FURIOUS and all the other students were laughing at me and the teacher said something like, "You can't draw Harry Potter ANYMORE."
And I was like, "That's all I know how to do!"
And then there was something in there about Sudoku.

So I think the message here is I should stop playing Sudoku and reading Harry Potter and worrying about art projects right before bedtime.

It is noon and I have been up since 10 o'clock yesterday morning! Ahh!

[Current Mood | awake]

So I volunteered to help with Vacation Bible School at my church because they desperately needed volunteers and I am basically a very good and decent person.

I was given a class of kids who are just leaving first grade.
I easily have the worst-behaved class in all of VBS.

I HAD NO IDEA 1ST GRADERS WERE SO BAD.
It's not the girls, they're terrific and all very sweet. The boys, on the other hand, are like little demons. D:
They don't listen to anything I say. And one of them is constantly hitting me with stuff.

It seems like no matter how much I try to discipline them they just don't take me seriously. I feel so pathetic. ; ^ ;

But it's been getting better. The first day was the WORST. But now the kids are starting to listen to me a little more.
The problem isn't that they don't like me, because they do because they're always telling me stories and trying to get my attention to show me something. They just don't see me as an authority figure I guess.

They're all pretty cute.

On the first day we played with bubbles, and this one boy Connor (the only one who consistently behaves) came and told me he didn't like bubbles because they were too wet. XD
Connor holds the door open every day for everyone and today he came to me and said his arms hurt. So I asked him why and he said he thinks it's from holding the door open. I told him he didn't have to always hold the door open but he assured me he would continue because, he said, he really liked doing it.
I think he's my favorite.

I can't find the camera or the cord I need to connect it to the computer so I can't show my car just yet. D:

Um I finally got a Wii! :D

I can't stop buying things on eBay.
I think I have a problem.

Today was my second day of summer school.

I'm taking Girls' Physical Education.

oh man I am so out of shape. ; D ;

My legs are so sore when I walk and they feel like jelly.

What I did today:
Played tennis for 1 1/2 hours.
Came inside and played a game of dodgeball.
Then we did conditioning until lunchtime. We ran grapevines across the gym floor and different running type things and I'm so
not athletically inclined and I looked so stupid.
Then we went to lunch but I was too tired to be hungry so I just ate some fruit snacks.
And then we came back to the gym and separated into two groups, one going swimming today, the other going swimming next week.
I'm in the group that's swimming next week so we went to another gym and played gym hockey for like 2 hours. Which was actually fun.
That was the first time in my life I think I actually felt competitive.
My team won!
School ended!
Then Andrea and I went to Panera bread.
I have never done so much exercise in one day before.

Tuesday is our fishing field trip!
Maybe this class will help me get in shape, but not if it kills me first. D:

I have been really sick lately.

I think it's lack of sleep.
I've been staying up until like 1 or 2 in the AM and then waking up at 5:30-ish for school. It's dumb.
It's partly because I have things to do, and partly because I like to stay up later. D:

I need like a mental health week.
I stayed home one day from school this week but it's just NOT ENOUGH.

Blargh.

ALSO I PICKED MY COURSES FOR NEXT YEAR. :D

French 5 AP
Biology AP
Digital Graphics and Animation
Government/Eco
English 4 AP
PreCalculus
Design Portfolio AP

AND ALSO
Hannah if you see this I have some (long overdue) Christmas presents for you.

San Francisco was amazing.
I loved it.
city/downtown has so much more character and interestingness than Houston. boo.
